Manhyia North MP donates 300 dual desks to schools

Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources and Member of Parliament for Manhyia North , Hon. Akwasi Konadu, has once again presented more than 300 dual desks to public schools in his area.

The desks, which were sourced from the MPs common fund, were presented to the Metro Education Directorate for onward distribution to the beneficiary schools, in a bid to improve the standard of education.

Mr. Konadu explained during the presentation that, he has always supported schools in the constituency with furniture, in his quest to bridge the furniture gaps in schools and that, the presentation of the 300 dual desks was in response to a request by the education directorate to fix the furniture challenges facing some public schools in the constituency.

The Member of Parliament assured that he would continue to supply furniture to schools to ensure that children of school going age are comfortable in their classrooms.

He said he has always put a premium on education hence his prompt response to the request of the directorate.
He urged head teachers to maintain the furnishings well as this will significantly lessen the workload for both parents and teachers.

Receiving the Desk, Madam Judith Panford, who represented Metro Director, thanked the MP for his nice gesture and pledged that their office would take good care of it.

She recalls the MP’s many contributions to schools in the constituency and encourages him to continue prioritizing education.
