Ashh FM donates to two orphanage homes in Kumasi
The Ashh FM Outreach Programme, “Let the Needy Laugh,” known for its focus on orphans and widows in our community, has always been in the forefront of efforts aimed at improving the lives of those with less opportunities.
The recent donation to children’s homes demonstrates the unwavering commitment to the well-being of children who are orphaned, impoverished, or abandoned.
This donation is part of the Ashh FM’s annual Christmas activities, which aim to provide support to widows and orphans.
For the past 16 years, the ‘Let the Needy Laugh Program’ has focused on providing material assistance to those in need, thanks to the generosity of the sponsors .
The donation was made to two children’s homes: Cherub Orphanage in Apire and Perfect Peace Orphanage Home in Sobolo, both of which care for abandoned or orphaned newborns and young children.
The donations included Bags of sachet water, bags of rice, cooking oils, plantains, cookies, soft drinks, and other necessities were among the donated goods.
The contribution from Ashh FM, a subsidiary of KenCity Media Limited, is anticipated to make these orphans smile over the holiday season, according to Mr. Dennis Hayes, Manager of Ashh FM.
He said that one of the donation’s main objectives is to lessen the strain on carers, who frequently have monetary and practical difficulties in attending to the requirements of numerous children.
Mr. Maxwell Gyimah, the Events and Promotion Manager, added that the program’s efforts are targeted at developing a stronger support structure for the children, ensuring that they receive the love, care, and opportunity they need.
The Administrator of Ashh FM, Isaac Owusu Ansah thanked the sponsors who made the donations possible and emphasised the importance of joint duty in protecting the safety of vulnerable children.
Receiving the items on behalf of the children at Cherub Orphanage, Chief Executive Officer, Elder Nicholas Osei Bonsu and Administrator Mr. Bernard Osei Bonsu thanked Ashh FM’s management for their generous gesture.
They encouraged other media outlets to follow suit.
At Perfect Peace, Madam Mary Bonsu, the CEO of Perfect Peace Orphanage, was thrilled to receive the donations from Ashh FM.
According to her, the orphanage has been serving 56 children for 30 years.
She urged other interested parties to assist them with housing and educational support.
