Cyber-crime: Be wary regarding security codes on your smartphone- MTN Chief IO

Cyber security incidents and getting hacked seem like distant, Hacks and data leaks have affected many major players in recent years,Truth is, getting hacked or scammed can happen to anyone and it might even have happened to you in the past.

Numerous people are still unaware of the risks, he underlined, making them easy targets for hackers.

Speaking at the MTN Bright Conversations Cyber Security Month event on October 28, 2024, with the theme “Navigating the Digital World Safely: Awareness, Action, and Assurance.”

The event’s main purpose was to raise awareness about internet safety among a live studio audience.

Bernard Acquah of MTN stated that the bulk of attacks come from unfamiliar sources, thus customers should be cautious about their security codes.
He stressed the significance of cyber security in the present digital age and encouraged people to treat the matter seriously.

He cautioned against sharing personal information recklessly, stating that doing so increases vulnerability to internet threats.

However, if your account is compromised, the sole precaution is to log out or uninstall the program and then reinstall it using the security code you generated on the last log-in. He revealed
