50 brilliant but needy students receives scholarship from Manhyia North MP
Hon. Akwasi Konadu, the MP for Manhyia North and the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, has given scholarships to more than fifty students in his constituency as part of his efforts to advance education in that area.
The minister, who spoke during the brief ceremony, underlined the importance of helping students who want to continue their education but lack the resources to do so.
According to the MP, since he assumed office, he has awarded several scholarships to students within his constituency and will continue to support them to achieve higher level.
He called on the students to take their studies seriously so as to become useful citizens in the constituency.
He further disclosed that, Most of the beneficiary students are from public universities and teacher and nursing colleges. This support will help ease the burden of parents. The scholarship covers their fees, accommodation and part of their feeding.
Receiving the cheques, the beneficiaries expressed their profound gratitude to the MP and pledged to study hard so as to make their MP and constituents proud.
