You Couldn’t Create Region for your own people; stop playing ‘petty’ politics with dev’t – NAPO to Mahama

Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh has discreditthe comments made by the former President John Mahama to create a new region for the people of Bawko that it is a palpable lies as it has been described as an attempt to deceive the people of the area.

Speaking at a gathering of key stakeholders; religious leaders, Zongo Chiefs, identifiable groups, teachers, and students Ashanti Mampong in the Ashanti Region, Dr Opoku Prempeh in his view, past incidents on the subject matter and his inability to create regions for his own people when he was president make him wonder if the former President is indeed committed to develop the nation and not an individual seeking to profit from the menace politically and without putting the country’s interest on the front burner.

At a gathering of key stakeholders; religious leaders, Zongo Chiefs, identifiable groups, teachers, and students in the Mampong constituency, he urged them to cast a decisive vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as he has consistently demonstrated the leadership qualities needed to transform Ghana in the next chapter of its development.

According to Napo, Mampong stands firmly behind Dr. Bawumia, and he was optimistic that the constituency will also re-elect Hon. Kwaku Ampratwum-Sarpong to Parliament to continue his excellent work.

He said Mahama failed the people of the north when he was president.

He said the creation of two new regions in the north and the restoration of peace to the Dagbon traditional area means Nana Akufo-Addo has already achieved what the people were yearning for.

Napo noted that although Mahama is from the north, he was unable to achieve that for his own people.

He added that the peace in the area is a landmark achievement and a manifestation of the hard work of the Akufo-Addo-led government.

He was particularly encouraged by the testimonies from teachers who commended the NPP’s record on Free SHS, which has provided significant relief to both parents and teachers.

The Acting Chairman of the Ashanti Mampong Coalition of Concerned Teacher, Joseph Aqcaah said Teacher Professionalisation policy, which introduced Teacher Licensure, Professional Learning Communities, and Continuous Professional Development, was also highlighted as a major advancement, making the teaching profession more fulfilling.

He extend his heartfelt gratitude to his father, the Mamponghene, Daasebre Osei Bonsu II, for his prayers, blessings, and invaluable counsel.

Mamponghene gave this advise SOTMember of Parliament for Ashanti Mampong, Hon. Kwaku Ampretwum-Sarpong slam the NDC for campaigning on religious lines saying that Christians and Muslims have lived in peace for a very long time and there’s no doubt that Muslims can also lead the nations.
