Clergy Prayers:Napo expresses dismay; Mahama can never be trusted

The Vice Presidential Candidate for the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mathew Opoku Prempeh has expressed shock at Mahama for seeking prayers from religious leaders he accused recently as hippocrates because the prayed for the running mate and New Patriotic party.

Speaking during a durba of chiefs, religious leaders and party supporters at Afrancho in the Afigya Kwabere South of the Ashanti Region, Dr. Opoku Prempeh, said the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has consistently shown a lack of respect for traditional leaders, which should concern all Ghanaians.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, electrified a grand durbar of chiefs and people in Afigya Kwabre South, as he rallied support for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the December polls.

This rapturous welcome reinforces NAPO’s connection with the grassroots and underscores the NPP’s momentum.

The enthusiastic crowd, comprising traditional leaders, religious dignitaries, and constituents, warmly welcomed NAPO.

They showered praises and blessings on Dr. Bawumia, expressing unwavering confidence in his leadership.

Addressing the chiefs and the religious leaders, he emphasized the importance of seeking blessings and support from these influential groups, particularly during the NPP’s campaign for votes.

He said NPP’s Commitment to Traditional Leaders In contrast, Dr. Opoku Prempeh assured that the NPP recognizes the invaluable role of traditional leaders and clergy in shaping the nation’s future.

He pledged that the NPP will continue to seek their blessings and votes, ensuring their voices are heard and valued in governance.

He also called on the chief of Ahenkro. Addressing the gathering, NAPO underscored the vital role of traditional and religious leaders in nation-building.

He emphasized active collaboration to foster progress and sustainable development. NAPO contrasted the NPP’s achievements with the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), citing significant developments initiated by successive NPP governments.

The chief of Bomso, Nana Sasanu who spoke on behalf of the chiefs in expressed excitement about the NPP’s developmental projects in the area, including the Free SHS policy implemented by the NPP.
